News / Discussion on the topic of comprehensive health insurance in the National Assembly

On March 19, a meeting on the topic of comprehensive health insurance was held in the National Assembly between insurance companies, the Standing Committees on Finance, Credit and Budget, and Healthcare. The meeting was attended by Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, other members of the Government, representatives of insurance companies operating in Armenia, and the Armenian Insurers Union.
The Board Chairwoman the Armenian Insurers Union, Armine Melkonyan presented the vision of insurance companies on the introduction of comprehensive health insurance in the Republic of Armenia.
A question-and-answer session with the NA deputies followed, during which representatives of the insurance sector presented in more detail the possible risks, approaches to their management, etc.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to continue the discussions in order to get acquainted in more detail with the content of the model and financial calculations proposed by the insurance companies.
